 LAKE GEORGE LOON WATCH

Bonnie Rentmeester is the official "Loon Ranger" for Lake George. She collects information on the first arrival and last departure of loons on the lake; the total number of loons present; and the number of chicks born. This information is submitted to Northland College's Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute.

Loons usually arrive on Lake George as soon as there is open water. If you see loons on the lake please report their number and location to Bonnie at (715) 369-7660 or e-mail at papalee@newnorth.net.
